Shinzanso Interior Viewing Event
Within the Hakone Museum of Art’s garden “Meisho Shinsenkyo” (Designated Place of Scenic Beauty), the registered tangible cultural property “Shinzanso” will be specially opened to the public this autumn. Built as the villa of the prominent modern Japanese industrialist Raita Fujiyama, Shinzanso offers visitors a rare opportunity to appreciate its interior during the season of vibrant autumn foliage.

- Admission Method
- Guided tours will be conducted in groups of approximately 10 to 20 people per session (rotating basis).
- How to Apply
- On the day of the event only. First-come, first-served basis.
No advance reservations accepted (participation will close once capacity is reached). - Participation Fee
- Free of charge for this trial opening.
Please note that admission to the Hakone Museum of Art is required separately. - Age Requirement
- Junior high school students and older only.
Children in elementary school or younger are not permitted.
Notes
- Shinzanso has no elevator. As it is a multilevel structure, only those who can walk unassisted may participate. (Use of canes or other mobility aids is not permitted.)
- Large bags are not allowed inside. Please use the lockers available at the museum or rest area.
- Shoes must be removed inside the facility. Please bring socks to wear indoors.
Please note that depending on crowd conditions, there may be waiting times before entry. For safety reasons, access may be restricted, or the event may be modified or canceled without notice.
